The Wine
Laurent-Perrier is one of the most famous of the Grandes Marques (‘Big Name’) Champagnes and the region’s largest family owned house today. So, “Why not splash out on a top drawer bubbly: the clean, lively, green apple spiked Laurent-Perrier Brut is one of the best on the block” (The Times). Dating back to 1812, Laurent-Perrier was bought in 1939 by Marie-Louise Lanson de Nonancourt (of Champagne Lanson), who successfully raised its profile around the world. Fresh and racy with toasty richness, ripe stone fruit and very fine, persistent bubbles, this is the classic apéritif and celebration fizz, also partnering canapés and shellfish to perfection.
