The Wine
If you’ve ever joined us at one of our tasting events, you might have met Bill Calabria. He used to be a champion boxer, but he’s now better known for championing the wines of Riverina. Bill’s grandfather and father first purchased a few acres of land in 1945. Being Italian, they planted a few vines so the family could enjoy wine at mealtimes. As the family planted more rows of vines, many of their friends asked if they could set aside a barrel or two. So when Bill and his brother Tony grew up, they decided to concentrate on winemaking. Brimming with tropical fruits, peach and citrus, Calabria Classic Dry White is a mouthwatering blend of Chardonnay, Sauvignon and Pinot Grigio. It’s a crisp aperitif and a great accompaniment to Thai food.
