Lying on the top tip of New Zealand's South Island, Marlborough has a well deserved reputation for some of today's finest New World Sauvignon Blancs. Sun filled days tempered by cooling ocean breezes from the Pacific, plus a panoply of soils, classic for an ancient river bed, all add up to the perfect conditions for this grape. The intense gooseberry and lime flavours of this white will wake up tired tastebuds in a trice. It's an ideal wine to have chilled in the fridge at all times, to enjoy as a glass on its own when required. It has the freshness, too, to match panfried fish, barbecued seafood kebabs or creamy sauced pasta. Or add a bit of sunshine to summer salads - prawn and avocado or quinoa, brocoli and feta superfood salad.

"Make sure you have a bottle, well chilled, in the fridge. A zesty fresh crowd pleaser" Dan Parrott
