Farinelli Pinot Grigio 2020
Colline Pescaresi IGT
Loading...

The little-known Abruzzo region shows its strength here at producing delicious, zesty-fresh Pinot Grigio, a tad riper than those from Italy's north east. Chill down and enjoy here lots of bright peach and apple notes with a zingy lemony finish.
We're sorry, this wine is sold out.
But don't worry, you'll find plenty more handpicked wines here.

The Wine
Stretching along Italy’s Adriatic coast, the Abruzzo boasts pretty coastal coves and dramatic landscapes of soaring mountains, rolling verdant hills, deep valleys and ancient castles. It's a favourite spot for holidaying Italians, but is hardly known elsewhere. Yet its extensive vineyards produce a range of deliciously accessible wines – creamy, plum-filled Montepulciano reds, citrusy Trebbianos and, most recently, fruity Pinot Grigios. This addition to our Farinelli range provides excellent value, yet even then the 2019 was scored an amazing 93 points at the prestigious IWC competition. Enjoy here a lovely balance of ripe peach and apple fruit with citrusy zip. It makes an ideal apéritif and goes well with lemon chicken and creamy pasta.

My favourite out of the Pinot Grigio group so far, a really lovely wine - enjoyed this one!
