Grenache is a grape that loves the sun. Soft, plump and high-in-alcohol grape, it is the force behind many of southern France's most delicious reds - including Châteauneuf-du-Pape. It's jammy, earthy and spicy with light colouring and few tannins. Known as Garnacha in Spain. So fruity - and, if it were a tourist, the first on the sunbed!
