Spier Estate head winemaker is Johan Jordaan, who served 14 years there under the masterful Frans Smit, before taking on the role as cellar chief himself. He continues the winery’s great reputation for crafting top-quality Cabernet Sauvignon like this one. It's been rated 93 points by Vinous and IWSC and won a Gold from Decanter. If you love great Cabernet Sauvignon with ripeness, power, structure and finesse, you'll be delighted with this one. It's made purely from hand-picked fruit grown in Spier Estate's best vineyards in premium Stellenbosch, one of the finest regions in South Africa. Smooth after 26 months in French oak barrels, half of which were new, and now with a little bit of age, this regal Cabernet is drinking perfectly.

"From a Cape winery dating back to 1692, this is a cracking Cabernet – deep, dark and seductive" Becca Reeves
