More information
Nestled in the heart of Médoc, Château Bellerive’s vineyards are less than 15 miles from Saint-Estèphe. The property is classified as Cru Bourgeois, the tier below the pricey Cru Classés but superior quality nonetheless (and great value if you know where to look). This is especially true of the 2016 vintage which has garnered praise from critics. Decanter wrote, "Many of these wines, carefully stored, will drink fantastically for 20, 30 or 40 years", while Wine Enthusiast described them as “wines that sing”. Now with seven years' maturity, this fine Médoc is beautifully complex with layers of ripe cassis, earthy notes and mocha oak spice. Delicious paired with steak, game or a cheeseboard.
