Laurent-Perrier is one of the most famous of Grandes Marques Champagnes and the region’s largest family-owned house today. So, “Why not splash out on a top-drawer bubbly: the clean, lively, green-apple-spiked Laurent-Perrier Brut is one of the best on the block” (The Times). Dating back to 1812, Laurent-Perrier was bought in 1939 by Marie-Louise Lanson de Nonancourt (of Champagne Lanson), who successfully raised its profile around the world. Using grapes from up to 100 cru plots, La Cuvée is LP’s finely honed non-vintage fizz, recently reblended with a high proportion of Chardonnay for creamy finesse and from Reserve wines for extra layers of toasty complexity. A classy fizz with a fine mousse, rich layers of flavour and a lingering finish.
