Chile has gained a 5-Star reputation for both supple Bordeaux style reds and super fresh, elegant Sauvignon Blanc. This is our latest find. It’s from a family winery founded in 1994, with extensive vineyards in Colchagua and Curicó. To fine-tune their wines they employed Victor Baeza as winemaker. With 30 years experience, including stints at prestigious properties such as Château d’Aiguille in Bordeaux, and Montes in Chile, Napa and Argentina, he’s done an excellent job. Grapes for this white are taken from 20 year old vines, that benefit from hot sunny days and a big drop in temperature at night - the ideal conditions to bring out the citrus and herbaceous fruit of Sauvignon. Chill and enjoy a glass solo or with lighter dishes.
