Chile has gained a 5-star reputation for their Bordeaux grape reds. This is our latest find. It's from a family winery founded in 1994, with extensive vineyards in Colchagua and Curicó. To fine-tune their wines they employed Victor Baeza as winemaker. With over 30 years of experience (including stints at prestigious properties in Bordeaux, Chile, Napa and Argentina) it's not surprising that he’s done an excellent job here. The grapes for their Cabernet Sauvignon are grown 40km from the Pacific Ocean, where cold nights and warm sunny days ripen the grapes to perfection. The result is a juicy red wine that's full of bright red fruits and plums, with touches of chocolate and black pepper. Can be enjoyed solo or as a versatile pairing for food.
