Critic Tim Atkin MW wrote, "For wine lovers, South Africa offers something special." It's currently one of the New World's most exciting wine sources, offering premium quality, excellent value and all the fruit you could wish for. Take Queen Bee – a ripe blend of largely Viognier with a tasty dab of Chardonnay. It's from Ben Jordaan at Mount Rozier in Stellenbosch. The Gabb family bought the property in 2011 and set about creating an environmentally sustainable, socially responsible estate. The cool vineyards only receive natural treatments and large areas of land are left uncultivated to encourage the local flora and fauna, as well as the Cape honey bee this wine is named after. Enjoy the Queen with spicy couscous, creamy pork or seafood.
