Chat with Vinny
Not all of us want to wait decades for our Barolo to be ready. Claudio Manera has a modern approach and crafts a softer style of wine to be enjoyed earlier. Yet the wine still retains all its intriguing, classic, truffle, violet and rose petal notes.

Tasting notes
Firm yet fine, full of rich berry flavour and juicy tannins
Aroma
Red berries, violets, roses and hints of smoky tar
This is quite simply the best value authentic Barolo we’ve come across in years. After two hours in a decanter, you’re treated to those normally expensive aromas of rose petal, truffle and tar. It’s a thrilling example of what most experts agree is the ultimate expression of the Nebbiolo grape that thrives in this mountainous, and often mist covered, corner of Italy. Talented oenologist Claudio Manera heads up the winemaking team at Araldica, a group of three cellars with control of over 2,000 hectares of vines in Piedmont. His ability to select only the finest Nebbiolo grapes ensures a blend of exemplary quality, and although approachable now, it will reward further cellaring. Decant and serve with game casserole or wild mushroom risotto.
