Provence is renowned for producing top quality, elegant rosé that’s long been enjoyed by the glitterati, well heeled tourists and locals alike, but few compare to this gorgeous splash of summertime. A characterful blend of native grapes, it’s bursting with spiced summer fruits and boasts particularly complex and concentrated flavours courtesy of the well drained soils. Climate also plays a big part – Provence is the perfect spot for rosé, with around twice as much sunshine as London, yet temperatures remain moderate even in the height of summer. This promotes lovely depth of ripe fruit, forward aromas and a bright freshness. You’ll find this savoury, berry pink a great match with poached salmon, grilled white fish or salt and pepper squid.

"Wine lovers worldwide can’t get enough of Provence pink – and it’s doubly desirable in a magnum" Jean-Marc Sauboua
