Vignerons de Bel Air Morgon 2019

Morgon AOC

From an award winning cellar established back in 1929 comes this silky, velvety ‘king of Beaujolais’ cru wine. A typical Morgon, this is a supple, luscious Beaujolais full of rich, ripe cherry and plum fruit. Brimful with serious Gamay charm.

For silky fruit with real freshness and verve, you can’t beat a drop of Beaujolais, and the crus from this region offer you even more layers of flavour and finesse. That’s thanks to granitic shale soils which produce in the grapes a mineral edge and intensity. Above all, there is Morgon – the cru renowned for its ability to age into velvet softness. Quality has been outstanding for the last five vintages and the wines have been magnificent. This seductive red is from a cellar founded in 1929 by a small group of conscientious growers. The winery has flourished since then and has created here a wine with bright cherry fruit and freshness, with a firm framework for ageing. A classic match with ham, charcuterie, duck or grilled veggie kebabs.
