Vasse Felix is a leading estate in Western Australia’s cool-climate Margaret River. From the original 8 hectares planted by Dr Tom Cullity in 1967 it has grown to include three premium vineyards and a state of the art cellar that was declared a ‘Top 100 International Winery’ by America’s Wine & Spirits magazine. Only the best grapes of the vintage are selected for this white. Part whole bunch fermentation, part crushed, the juice is transferred into the finest quality French oak barriques where it is fermented with natural yeasts from the vineyard. Nine months ageing in oak on its lees lends a creamy texture and weight, along with subtle toasty spice from the barrel. Superbly balanced, a masterpiece. Perfectly matched with salmon en croute.
