The name Dr Thomas Cullity is a legend in wine – the founding father of Margaret River. He was already experimenting with vineyards in 1965, then started proper in 1967, producing a Gold medal Riesling in 1972 and a Gold medal Cabernet in 1973. Quality and reputation for this stellar estate have continued to rise over the decades. In 2012 it won Trophies for Wine of the Year, Winery of the Year (and again in 2018) and two for Winemaker of the Year, plus 11 Trophies for their flagship Chardonnay, Heytesbury, alone. No wonder the name Vasse Felix fills wine drinkers with awe. This 2015 is another masterpiece – a compact and powerful Cabernet, with firm, rounded tannins and underlying freshness. It will continue to age magnificently. Decant.

"Composed and powerful Cabernet with plenty of rich red and darker berries. Smoothly rendered. Superb" James Suckling
