Founded in 1883, Trapiche is one of Argentina’s leading wineries. Its many accolades include twice winning ‘Argentine Wine Producer of the Year’ at the International Wine & Spirit Competition. In 2019, they were named New World Winery of the Year too. Its winemaker, Daniel Pi, is one of the most capable and knowledgeable in the country. Their Terroir series aims to express the superb location of the vineyard. For Finca Las Piedras that is Los Arboles in Tupungato, Uco Valley, and a vineyard planted very high at 1300 metres. Pure sunshine with cold nights to slow the ripening and retain brilliant freshness and aromas, the wine is very crisp, nervy with ripe fruit and a creamy texture from ageing in oak foudres on lees. Open early or cellar.
