Trapiche is one of Argentina's very finest producers and this is a remarkable white. Pure Chardonnay from Gualtallary, the 'Grand Cru' region of Uco, planted at 1300 metres, it's crisp, mineral fresh, very pure and poised. Will age with much grace.
Tasting notes

More information
Founded in 1883, Trapiche is one of Argentina’s leading wineries. Its many accolades include twice winning ‘Argentina Wine Producer of the Year’ at the International Wine & Spirit Competition. Its winemaker, Daniel Pi, is one of the most capable and knowledgeable in the country. Their Terroir series aims to express the superb location of the chosen vineyard. For El Tomilla, that is the pure limestone soils of Gualtallary and a vineyard planted very high at 1300 metres. Here the Andes look like you can touch them, they are so close and domineering. Days are pure sunshine with cold nights to slow down ripening and retain brilliant freshness and aromas. Right now, the wine is very crisp, nervy even, tight, almost electric. Open early or keep.
