Yarrunga Field Special Reserve Pinot Noir 2017

New South Wales

A gorgeously silky, spicy, berry fruit Pinot Noir – and that’s not easy to achieve under the warm Aussie sun. It’s what we’ve come to expect from Sam Trimboli – a master at coaxing the best from his grapes and producing wines that customers adore.

Soft, smooth and oozing rich summer berry fruit, this spectacular Pinot Noir will appeal not just to Pinot Noir fans but also to those who prefer a more full-bodied red. More Central Otago than the Côte d’Or, it’s from selected sites across New South Wales, carefully chosen by ‘Mr Medals’ himself, Sam Trimboli. Our Buyer Dan knows why Sam’s wines are so popular – he says that whereas most winemakers turn out wines they want to make, Sam is thinking about the customer enjoying his wine before he even picks a grape. South Australian Pinots are in great demand and Yarrunga Field gives you a great value alternative to the world class wines of the Yarra Valley. It’s moreish solo and great with sweet-glazed ribs or hoisin crispy duck pancakes.

"Spectacular! One of the smoothest, most flavourful wines we’ve ever tasted. Hope to see more!" Online Review
