It’s rare to find a big Aussie Shiraz with finesse and complexity for such an everyday price but here’s one for the taking. It's part of our 'cleanskin' range – minimal detail on the label, no winery name but, in return, you get a great deal wine. It happens when a top winery has a little surplus they need to shift quickly, so they let our intrepid Buyer Dan know. He's always looking for the next wine excitement. All the grapes are from the prized Barossa Valley, a region with a big reputation for Shiraz and 2017 was another drought vintage, so yields were small and very concentrated. Voluptuous and inky dark, this chunky Shiraz offers dark plum, cherry and chocolate notes. Already drinking well with hearty dishes; well worth cellaring too.
