Third generation Martínez Bujanda is one of the top producers in Rioja, and famous all over the world. The family business was founded late in the 19th century, then was transformed in 1984 when the Bujanda brothers built an ultra modern facility that's still one of the finest in Europe. Every year their wines win many awards and they have been listed top Spanish bodega and among the top 50 wineries in the world many times. We've long been championing their superb Riojas, and were delighted when Jesús offered us this great value red – pure Tempranillo from their La Tejera vineyard. Packed with silky strawberry flavour, it's a lovely red to sip with friends, either on its own or alongside a range of tapas, barbecued meats or simple suppers.
