Gloriously aromatic, smooth as silk and with a captivating depth that comes from traditional Burgundian techniques. That includes fermentation in open-top wooden vats, hand plunging and patient ageing in premium oak. Stonewall has quality to match any top shelf Pinot Noir. Doctors John and Brigid Forrest were among the first to set up an estate in Marlborough and established an enviable reputation, with John winning New Zealand’s Winemaker of the Year in 2001. Having trained all over the world, daughter Beth has now joined the team. Their exceptional Pinot Noir shows in delicious fruit filled terms the phenomenal strides Marlborough has made with the grape. With summer berry richness, this is a red to enjoy with chicken or mushroom risotto.
