Domaine Boyar was the first private company set up after the historic political upheaval of Bulgaria in 1989. On their 30th anniversary they commissioned some amazing murals by renowned local artist Nasimo. They were to go round their largest stainless steel vats in their winery in the Stara Planina foothills. It's quite some spectacle. The label of this wine has been inspired by these artworks. Simple Hands is a collaboration between this award-winning winery and the local growers, working in Bulgaria's finest region for red wine – the Thracian Plains. The wine is all juicy Merlot, packed with bright plum fruit. It's an easy-drinking, all-pleasure red, great for enjoying on its own or with suppers like sausage and mash or vegetable pilaf.
