For 50 years, we’ve searched for hidden gems tucked away in the vast patchwork of vineyards covering southern France. Wines like Prince Galien – a thrilling new Sauvignon Blanc from Gard, between the Camargue and the Cévennes. The Mediterranean, basically. And far from the Loire, the traditional home of French Sauvignon. Our buyer, Mark, tracked it down after hearing that award winning winemaker Laurent Guillot was working on a secret Sauvignon project. Mark was hooked on first taste. Lively grapefruit, melon and nectarine, with plenty of French elegance and joie de vivre. Prince Galien is ideal as an apéritif or partner to seafood. Great value too, as befits a wine named after the ancient Greek doctor who treated rich and poor alike.
