Rieslings of the Reichsrat Von Buhl estate consistently receive over 90/100 points from Wine Spectator and Robert Parker. A leading German wine publication lists a Von Buhl wine amongst the best 100 in the world, and their top releases sell for £150 a half bottle. Since 2013 the winemaker has been Matthieu Kauffmann, who was previously at the helm at Bollinger Champagne. His expertise shines through in this exclusive cuvée from the elegant 2017 vintage. The wine is crafted from organically grown grapes, selected by Matthieu. Riesling Nr 1 is luscious and zippy with a delightful echo of lime, pears and peaches. It is thoroughly appetising with almost any food, from poached salmon to roast chicken to cheese and fruit – even Thai curry.
