Showcasing Chardonnay, Viognier and Semillon from premium South Oz, this is RedHeads’ MC1R Blonde. This white expresses the very heart of RedHeads’ winemaking movement, its DNA (MC1R). A gorgeously spiced, ripe fruit white with citrus freshness.

Since its start in 2002 RedHeads has clocked up four Trophies, 92 Golds and numerous scores over 90 from critics worldwide. The RedHeads ‘movement’ began in McLaren Vale, made its mark, and then moved on to the Barossa to prove that a boutique winemaking studio could surpass some of the Barossa’s most prestigious cellars. It's a leader in sustainability too. RedHeads sources grapes from a network of ace growers, very much part of the team, to make an array of exciting wines. Here it's Darren Arney in the Adelaide Hills and the Heidenreichs in Possum Creek. MC1R, the colour determinant part of DNA, represents the heart of their winemaking. Using a special Burgundy yeast, it's a ripe, creamy white with freshness. Great solo or with chicken.
