Comté Tolosan is an ancient wine producing region within South West France. The Romans were the first to discover its potential. They liked the hilly aspect, planted vines, and made some of their finest wines here. A few centuries ago, wines from Comté Tolosan were more highly rated than those of Bordeaux. They are close to the authentic wines of Gaillac and Cahors too. This is a tasty Cabernet with lovely depth and fruit power made by US winemaker Nicole McPheeters working at a cellar near Toulouse. From Arizona, she’s worked all over the world, including Australia, Chile and Bordeaux. Nicole brings a New World touch to the fruit in this double Gold Cabernet, with its final flourish of vanilla oak. Particularly good with grilled meats.
