Beaujolais is renowned for its lovely, gulpable, fresh fruit reds – from Nouveau to fine Crus. But Rosé? That's strangely unheard of when its Gamay grape lends itself so well to the style. Taste for yourself with Premier Bain – a pretty pink that's elegant and full of fun. It's made by Jean-Michel Casadella, a talented winemaker originally from the south of France. He loved to help his grandfather in the vineyard, so much so, he made it his career. Since 1992 he's been in charge at the 18th century Château des Loges cellar. It was originally founded by the noble Barons of Vauxonne, then purchased in 1958 by local growers. Brimful of bright cherry berry fruit, white pepper and zingy citrus, this is irresistible solo and with lighter dishes.
