Marcial Dorado and Oscar Cidanes are known as two of the top winemakers in Condado, in southern Rias Baixas. In fact, they work both sides of the border, slipping into Portugal's Vinho Verde just south. For 12 years now they have tended six hectares of vines on the border, with vines on average 70 years old, some up to a century old. These vines are largely the prized Albariño grape, but there are also a few rows of the less well known, but equally citrusy fresh Treixadura. From the excellent 2018 vintage, this white makes top class drinking now, but will also age well, retaining freshness, while developing further richness. A fine dinner party white to serve with seafood, sauced white meats or noodles with basil scented aubergine.
