More information
Calling whisky lovers - this beautifully mellow Highland malt, long aged in sherry butts, is unmissable. It's from Glenfarclas, which in 1865 was purchased by cattle breeder John Grant, along with the adjacent farm, for the sum of £511 19 shillings. It was ideally positioned, halfway between his other distillery, Glenlivet, and the Elgin cattle market. Six generations later, little has changed. It remains in the Grant family, who source their water from the crystal clear spring that bubbles up from the granite soils at the foot of Ben Rinnes. Over the years they have built an impressive reputation for malts of exceptional quality and value and every year win many awards. This is a special batch of 15 year old Glenfarclas to savour.
