For delicious, well priced reds made from the Chianti grape, Sangiovese, head for the hills of Romagna, and Rubicone in particular. There you’ll find fourth generation family estate Poderi dal Nespoli, which has recently seen huge investment in both vineyards and cellar. You won’t miss the winery – it’s a beautifully designed, eco friendly building come culture centre, complete with theatre. Here the family have really upped their game and we’ve been first in the queue to buy the rich reds and zippy whites. Celita Ravaioli is in charge at the cellar, with advice from the great Scipione Giuliani (winemaker behind our bestselling Il Papavero range). Full of cherry fruit with a classic Italian tang, Nespolino is heaven with rich pasta dishes.
