Da Maggio is a bright, modern style of Chardonnay with an appetising balance of freshness, ripeness and zip. It’s made by Poderi dal Nespoli, a modern, environmentally conscious winery in the Bidente Valley in Romagna, close to the cooling Adriatic coast and across the Appenines from Tuscany, This estate was founded in 1929 by Attilio Ravaioli, and the fourth generation of the family is now at the helm. They own 110 hectares, and follow each wine from bud break to bottle. Their new cellar is an impressive, state of the art structure, designed to be gentle on the environment too. The team use cutting edge technology but also employ traditions passed down through the generations. Serve this Chardonnay solo, or with seafood or chicken dishes.
