Le Chai’s winemaker Mark Hoddy always likes to please with tasty, well balanced wines and this rich, rounded, pure fruit white from the Languedoc won’t disappoint. It’s named after our scout Andrée Ferrandiz, who for 30 years ferreted out the finest Languedoc wines for us. She’s retired now and today it’s Mark who diligently searches out the best quality grapes and wines from this region. For this white, he selected a parcel from high slopes close to Corbières and Fitou, particularly cool and stony for that mineral bite, still with appealing peachy ripeness. All fruit, no oak, the wine was cool fermented to capture maximum stony freshness and ripe peach and apple notes. Cool gently and enjoy with creamy chicken, fish pie or crab risotto.
