Phil and Chris Rose are among the original pioneers of Marlborough’s vineyards, and have made some of our bestselling Kiwi whites. They were, unsurprisingly, our first port of call when we were on our mission: to find our customers a Sauvignon with all the dazzling, grassy fresh, ripe fruit you would expect, but at a surprisingly modest price. They combed through every inch of Marlborough, called upon all their grape growing friends, and, together, we’ve succeeded in creating this ravishing and vivacious 2018 release of Mount Richmond. It has the classic ‘leap from the glass’ passion fruit and cut grass aromas and generous tropical fruit. Chill the wine down and enjoy as a glass on its own, or with salmon, spicy fishcakes or stir-fry.
