Founded in 1885, the Bougrier family cellar remains true to its origins – to make wines that express the great vineyards that stretch along the length of the Loire. We've worked with the family for years now and are always first to taste through the vats straight after vintage. Their Les Heritiers range showcases the Loire's finest classic grapes and appellations – here, that's Chenin Blanc from a fine plot in Vouvray. It's gently lees aged to add a creamy weight to the intense lemony-bright, pear and peach fruit, balanced by a touch of sweetness. 2021 was certainly a year of challenges – severe frost, hail, but ultimately a summer full of sunshine. The upshot is small quantity and 5-star quality, which you'll enjoy in Les Heritiers Dubois.
