Ramage La Batisse is a splendid château in the heart of Haut-Médoc, close to legendary Château Lafite and Château Mouton Rothschild. Top critic Robert Parker says it has “an impressive track record for quality” and we have championed their fine clarets over many vintages. Now, by way of thanks, the estate has treated us all to an exclusive parcel of their limited edition rosé. It’s made from the ‘free run’ juice of their Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot grapes, a winemaking method known as saignée. It ensures real vibrancy of flavour and texture. This style of rosé is simply not made in commercial quantities and so seldom leaves the estate. Its gorgeous summer fruit character makes it a lovely apéritif or partner for seafood or cold cuts.
