Chat with Vinny
There’s much to commend this impressively layered red. It’s from one of Burgundy’s best known family domaines, Drouhin, the 'king' of Burgundy wine villages, Gevrey Chambertin, and the wonderfully expressive 2017 vintage. Layered, ripe and long.

Maison Joseph Drouhin was established 130 years ago and has since gained a worldwide reputation for elegance and finesse. In charge today are Joseph’s four grandchildren: Fréderique, Véronique, Philippe and Laurent. Together they champion organic and biodynamic viticulture, to minimise their environmental impact and produce superb fruit that really reflects its terroir. This classic Pinot Noir is handharvested from their fine vineyard sites in Gevrey-Chambertin, a small portion from 1er cru vines. The quality of this renowned village can be tasted in every drop of this expressive wine. Layered with ripe berry and leafy, earthy complexity, it's superb with tarragon chicken, pandfried duck, lightly spiced couscous or a wild mushroom dish.
