Wine Advocate called a previous vintage of this white “classy and elegant, with impeccable balance”. This fine Chardonnay comes from unlikely California denizens, John Hilliard and Christine Bruce, both from Texas, he from a shipyard family, she a passionate horsewoman and musician. Long story short, they ended up in the Santa Rita Hills, planting 8.5 of their 40 hectares to Pinot Noir and Chardonnay. With an eye for perfection (an understatement) they’ve created this exciting, sea-cooled Chardonnay from vineyards at the western edge of the property, where coastal breezes and marine soils make the perfect bedding. It’s barrel fermented and aged 18 months in one third new oak to give a lovely nutty richness that partners your finest seafood.

"Citrus, spice, underbrush and white flower bouquet, classy and elegant, with impeccable balance" Jeb Dunnock, Critic
