Our winemaker friend Alessandro Gallici makes our most popular Prosecco. Here he makes a special 'outlaw' version, adding Chardonnay for fruity roundness. In Champagne that adds to the price. Here Prosecco comes off the label and it's a bargain.

Over the last decade plus, Prosecco has become hugely popular in the UK. We've adopted it like the Italians and see it, almost, as part of daily life! This lovely, pear and apple scented fizz certainly adds a little extra sparkle to any day, but it's not strictly speaking Prosecco. Due to the addition of a little ripe and fruity Chardonnay to the officially permitted Glera grapes, this delightful, thirst quenching frizzante can’t be labelled Prosecco. Still, it tastes so good, we didn't think you'd mind. Alessandro is an extremely experienced winemaker and, being from the area, knows where all the best grapes are grown. Chill down this fizz - a frizzante so its only gently sparkling – and serve it any time, on its own or with light dishes.
