In a country like Germany, famed worldwide for its clean tasting, high quality lagers, it takes a very special producer to be named ‘Brewery of the Year’. Fürstenberg held that honour for two years in a row! Just wait until you try their beer.
Tasting notes
Crisp and clean with a refreshing hoppy finish
Aroma
Pleasantly sweet, with malt, floral hops and herbal notes
If you’re looking for a crisp, refreshing lager, forget the mass produced megabrands (or should that be megablands?) and choose a Premium Lager with an impressive pedigree. The Fürstenberg brewery in the heart of the Black Forest can trace its roots back to 1283. And although they’ve grown considerably in that time, exporting quality German beers to countries worldwide, they still source their raw materials as locally as possible. This, their Premium Lager, weighs in at 5.3% alcohol, so it’s designed to have a little more flavour and character than your average lager. It’s slightly darker too, thanks to the addition of a little more malt. A favourite during Oktoberfest, this is a great choice with pretzels, curry, wurst and lively company.
