Field of Stones Marlborough Rosé 2021

Marlborough

From the great Dr John Forrest, this is a wonderfully fresh, elegant and pretty pink, at a gentle 9.5% ABV. All the grapes (mostly Pinot Noir) are all from their very stony Marlborough vineyards, which lend this wine its dazzling mineral zip.

Twice 'Winemaker of the Year', Dr John Forrest is one of the greats of Marlborough, famous for pioneering screwcaps, lower alcohol wines and, of course, a range of superb reds, whites and rosés. He's a star with Sauvignon, but also likes to be the first to excel with unusual varieties like Arneis and Grüner Veltliner which compliment the Pinot Noir in this delicate pink. With extensive experience worldwide, daughter Beth is increasingly taking on more of the winemaking. Field of Stones is a delicious pink, using Pinot Noir, Arneis, Grüner and Chenin, all sourced from a superb, stony Wairau Valley vineyard. This lends a flinty edge to the bright berry fruit and herbal notes of this fine rosé. Perfect with seafood, noodles and on its own.
