Domaine Ferraton, founded in 1946, has always been a highly regarded estate. Yet since the Chapoutiers have come on board quality has risen even higher. The Ferratons started working with Michel Chapoutier in 1998, with Michel buying the estate in 2004 but running it very much as an independent concern, with the Ferraton family still at the helm. Oenologist Damien Brisset and Stéphane Ogier (of renowned Domaine Stéphane Ogier) are also part of the ‘super team’ and the result is some really impressive wines. Add the high quality of the 2017 vintage and grapes produced to the highest biodynamic standards, and you’ll understand the sumptuous brilliance you can look forward to. Pure Syrah, part oak aged, silky, dense and long. Ideal with lamb.

"Flowing black cherry and blueberry fruit which is constrained by live tannins. Serious depth here" J. Livingstone-Learmonth
