Founded in 1946, Domaine Ferraton has always been a highly regarded property. Since the Chapoutiers have joined the team, “the quality from this estate continues to soar” (Wine Advocate). The Ferraton family work closely with Michel Chapoutier, who is renowned for championing organic and biodynamic wines. Together they produce a range of amazing wines, one of the finest of which is Le Méal - a sublime, ripe and powerful, concentrated Hermitage using grapes from the warmest terroir of the Hermitage Hill. 14 months in oak, 20% new, allow the bold ripe berry fruit to shine through with a measured influence of toasted oak complexity. Four years old, the wine is still very young. Decant the wine beforehand to let it open out. It'll cellar well.
