We’ve been searching out the exciting wines of ancient Moldova for over a decade now. We knew this forgotten ‘poor man of Europe’ has produced fine wine for 2,000 years, most famously supplying the Tsars of Russia. Indeed this country has always had perfect conditions for growing vines, it just needed investment to bring it all together. This cellar has managed that – harnessing the history as well as bringing wine production into the modern wine world. With bright sunshine and biting cold winds, it produces wines with pure fruit and outstanding freshness. This Chardonnay’s bright peach and lemony notes lend it the perfect balance for 21st century tastes. Serve chilled as an aperitif or pair with fish, roast chicken or a creamy roulade.
