Wine Advocate wrote, "the Ashmeads continue to push quality" and you'll taste that in this brilliant, single vineyard Riesling. The family are in fact known for great Barossa reds, but this white displays their pure passion for exceptional Riesling.

Founded in 1894 by the Scholz family, Elderton is now one of the most respected names in Australia's Barossa Valley. It has a long history and was bought by the Ashmeads, Lorraine and Neil, in 1979. They needed a new family home after they'd been working in Saudi. It was a time when wine sales were negligible, so the estate agent threw in the 72 hectares of vines with the house, for free! Since then they've restored it all and gained a reputation for true excellence. Ode to Lorraine, Ashmead Cabernet – they've won accolades galore. In 2007 they bought the Craneford vineyard in the Eden Valley from which they make this fine, flinty Riesling. It makes delicious drinking now, yet will age a decade if you can resist. In 2021, a true classic.
