More information
First it was the Casablanca region that showed how brilliant Chilean Sauvignon Blanc could be. Now winemakers are harnessing the benefits of the coastal section of Colchagua. Ocean-cooled vineyards promote real intensity of fruit and minerally elegance. This tongue tingling Reserva is from Luis Felipe Edwards, a family winery with extensive vineyard holdings, including some daringly close. Winemaker Nicolas Bizzarri, the first Chilean to graduate from Australia’s famous Roseworthy wine college, insists upon the grapes being harvested in the early morning, and cooled as soon as they reach the cellar to retain maximum freshness. Showing vibrant fruit and stony fresh poise, this white is great solo and with seafood, salads or stir-fries.
