More information
This fine estate was founded in 1810 by Nicolas Schlumberger, who planted vineyards on the slopes above the village of Guebwiller (the only town in Alsace which has 4 Grands Crus classés). Over its 200-year history, Schlumberger has since grown to be one of France's finest properties. It has extensive holdings – 180 hectares of vines, with an 80% share in three of Alsace's greatest Grand Cru sites. The 6th and 7th generations now run the estate. Their 'S' range has been created as a ‘grand tour’ of the prestigious vineyards in the region. Matured on lees for a wonderful creamy note, this white is beautifully balanced and harmonious. Pour, chilled, into large glasses and savour the quality solo, or pair with Gravlax or mushrooms on toast.
