Vougeraie is a superb family estate, "a major player in top quality, occasionally profound Burgundy" (Neal Martin). Their methods throughout are meticulous. Critic James Suckling said 2019 'hit the bullseye' in Burgundy. This is a charming white.

Few estates in Burgundy are as meticulous as this domaine, founded only 20 years ago. The family pride themselves on superbly placed vineyards throughout Burgundy, all of them certified organic and now biodynamic too. Put simply, this approach takes organic farming to the next level and encourages biodiversity in the vineyard to help strengthen the vines. This results in a purer expression of each terroir and superb quality wine in your glass. This glorious vintage Côte de Beaune white, aged in fine oak barrels for a year, shows elegance, bright fruit and length. Open early, decant and serve in large-bowled glasses, so the wine really opens out. Choose food partners like white meats or fish in creamy sauces to show the wine at its best.
"White peach, mango and a slight pine cone aroma. Well balanced but simple, lightly honeyed texture"
Neal Martin Vinous on 2017 vintage
