Since its creation in 1920, Saint Préfert has been a leading estate in Châteauneuf. The Serre family owned it for 80 years, but in 2002, Isabel Ferrando realised her dream, bought it and has taken it to new heights. Isabel is Provence born. She always loved the different flavours of her home region, but started a career in banking. As a new mother, she decided it was time to follow her dream - to become a winemaker. She studied, then looked for her ideal property. It took two years to find it - Châteauneuf was the only option. 2003 was her first vintage. Jeb Dunnock wrote, "Isabel Ferrando has taken her Saint Prefert estate to France’s highest level." This is her Classique red – old vine Grenache, aged in barrels, this is a profound wine.
