Beyond the Label
Fresh with flavours of melon, apple and honey, and a creamy texture
Intense floral notes, orange blossom, melon and honey
It's the kind of story you see in the movies. In 2015, Nick and Lisa were on holiday in the Languedoc, a part of France they'd always loved, for the people, the landscape and (of course) the wines. One afternoon, they popped into this small domaine for a tasting. Six months later, they had the keys. But this was no romantic folly. Both Nick and Lisa hail from corporate backgrounds, so they had the foresight to keep hold of the skills of head winemaker Vincent Maurel. Vincent's been working here for the best part of 20 years, winning many awards for his elegant wines. This 2018 Chardonnay is a great example. Beautiful, not only for its structure and elegance, but also its refreshing, crisp finish. Great solo, and tasty with seafood pancakes.
"Top example of Languedoc Chardonnay. Full of orange blossom, mineral notes and ripe melon juiciness"
